“Yes, makeup has the potential to transform, but it has always been vitally important to me to see the woman's character through the cosmetics.”
Lucia is also sought after by top designers for fashion shows producing beautifully memorable runway looks that are talked about long after the shows are over. Hard or soft, enigmatic or surreal poetic or futuristic, Lucia's work is always a true expression of her own unique and independent vision.
An interview withQCould you provide us with your message to Clé de Peau Beauté customers who "meet" you for the first time? AClé de Peau Beauté is all about radiance and light. The radiance within and also on the outside. It uses superior ingredients to hydrate and luminize your skin so you always look your radiant best. QWhat is your beauty philosophy? AI believe in celebrating and enhancing one's own natural beauty. My philosophy is definitely less is more when applying makeup. QWhere do you find your inspirations for color? AInsipration comes from many different places, traveling, art, referencing old films etc and of course one of my biggest influences is nature. I love the colour and texture of flowers. My English garden full of roses is very inspiring for me.
“For me, it's not really about 'trends'... if something happens to look right for a certain show, then we will do that.”QDo you have a muse? AFor me I think it would have to be Amanda Seyfried. She is a wonderful person and very beautiful. Her humor and intelligence only emphasize her beauty allowing her personality to shine through, making her skin even more radiant. QIs there a book / people / place that changed your life? AI find inspiration in many books and films; I love travel and nature and find lots of inspiration everywhere I go. I spend a lot of time on a plane, an 8 hour flight is the best time to get into a good book.
One of my favorite places in London is Petersham Nursery which is a beautiful garden centre, cage and restaurant on the River Thames in London. I love going there for colour inspiration and of course the beautiful flowers and plants. It's like being in a country side yet you are still in London.QWhat is your current favorite product in the Clé de Peau Beauté collection and why? AMy favorite products right now are the eye shadow quads. I love all the colours in each quad so I can't possibly choose just one. I love the texture and depth of colour. They are fantastic.
Tips & TricksQIf you could give only ONE beauty tip, what would it be? AIf you want to make a few changes, try a different eye shadow colour, I think it's a great and easy way to change things up without being too dramatic. eye color quad Shop Now QDo you have any tips to finding the perfect foundation match? AI see lots of women with foundation on their face and their neck is a completely different colour. This makes them look like they are wearing a mask. Always make sure you test the colour of foundation on your collar bone when choosing a foundation, so it will blend into your neck well. In any case, wearing too much makes you look older! QWhat is your favorite application tool and why? AA Brush. Perfect to apply the foundation very subtly and also to blend colours then make a soft glow. foundation brush Shop Now QWhat is a trick to looking polished if you are in a rush? AThink about the natural skin instead of lots of makeup. I love adding le sérum before lotion/moisturizer and lots of mascara.
